The five subjects were roughly: Slander and poor sourcing (Max Tempkin, Brad Wardell) Cronyism and corruption in the indie scene Cronyism and corruption in the AAA scene GameJournoPros The massive push to create an untruthful narrative about GG. Sargon was the captain of the call. Parts of the call worth dicussing: Sargon asked for examples of what Mark Ceb was going to discuss. Ceb appeared to be disorganized. Sargon asked for access to Mark Ceb's scripts. Access to Ceb's script was granted. Sargon stated the script was a mess, and since he had experience as a presenter he should re-write it. Sargon wanted to focus specifically on Kotaku in order to craft a cohesive narrative. This may have caused other publications to be excluded (Polygon for instance). Grayson and Hernandez were suggested for the indie section. Sargon suggested the removal of the Shadows of Mordor/Youtuber issues from discussion of AAA scene issues. The reason given was that Youtubers are not journalists and would not be of interest to the SPJ. Confidentiality was requested to prevent the topics from leaking out before AirPlay. Time concerns were brought up, and the assumption was made that if the morning panel did not have time to discuss the grand narrative that it would be discussed on the afternoon panel. Possible concerns: Sargon has never disclosed his part in the modification of the scripts for Airplay in any of his Airplay coverage. Sargon specifically removed any mention of YouTubers from Mark's scripts. Youtubers who should have had no involvement with AirPlay were having covert involvement. The expectation of confidentiality was not brought up until the middle of the conversation, putting participants in the awkward position of needing to balance violations of confidentiality vs disclosure of their involvement with Airplay.
